About Arizona Sunshine Angels
Arizona Sunshine Angels is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to bringing sunshine and support to children in foster care living in group homes across Maricopa County. We serve approximately 700 children, from newborns to age 18, across 11 agencies by providing essential items that foster self-esteem and confidence, and by creating memorable birthday and holiday celebrations that make every child feel special.
Since 1999, our volunteers have been dedicated to making a difference, and in March 2006, we officially became a charitable organization committed to brightening the lives of children in foster care.
Our Mission
The mission of Arizona Sunshine Angels is to support children in foster care living in residential group homes by providing essential items that nurture self-esteem, education, independent living, and a sense of hope. We are committed to ensuring that every child feels valued, empowered, and prepared for a brighter future.

- 800+ foster youth age out of Arizona’s system each year, with many facing homelessness
- 8% of the approximately 8,000 children in the Department of Child Safety’s care reside in group homes
